Santa Clara Pueblo is home to about
200 of the finest Native American pottery artists in the Southwest.
Of particular note is the gorgeous blackware and redware being
made by the the Tafoya, Naranjo, Garcia, Chavarria, Diaz, and
Gutierrez families, just to name some of the better known families
of potters. For generations they have been practicing and perfecting
making pottery in the same way that their ancestors have been
doing. Along the way these artists have added new touches and
contemporary designs, while still retaining their traditional
motifs. We are pleased to offer here some of the fine quality
work of the artists of Santa Clara.
