Acoma has more potters than any other pueblo, but not all of them use traditional methods. This hand-made piece by Patsy Mike is handcoiled and fired in a kiln. It bears the heartline deer design. This design was most likely borrowed from Zuni and introduced to Acoma Pueblo by Lucy Lewis.
