Iris , still using traditional Hopi ways of making pottery, has transformed contemporary views of Hopi pottery. Her graceful corn pots are desired by collectors world-wide. This piece is a bit different from Iris's usual pots. Iris' work is featured in Southwestern Pottery by Allan Hayes and John Blom, Treasures of the Hopi by Theda Bassman, Art of the Hopi by Lois Essary Jacka, Pueblo and Navajo Contemporary Pottery by Guy Berger and Nancy Schiffer and Hope-Tewa Pottery by Gregory Schaaf. Iris' work is included in the collection of the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. Iris lives with her husband Wallace in Polacca, in Hopi.
