Agnes Smith, a Navajo weaver from Wide
Ruins in Arizona completed this rug in February, 1984. It is made
from all handspun wool, warp and weft. The colors are all vegetal
dyed. Agnes is very well known for her Wide Ruins rugs. One of
Agnes' rugs was featured in the July, 1974 issue of Arizona Highways
magazine. She has won numerous awards for her weavings, and her
work is included in the collection of the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology
at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
