Turquoise Trail

This Pendleton blanket reminds us of the trail that is now a National Scenic Byway running from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. It runs through the old mining towns of Golden, Madrid and Los Cerillos. This is an area where Native Americans were mining turquoise stones some 2,000 years ago.
