Noreen is one of Zuni's most brilliant potters. Following in the footsteps of her mentor Angelina Medina, and her teachers at Zuni High, Daisy Hooee and Jennie Laate, Noreen also taught pottery at Zuni High. She is an award winning potter. Pots with lizards are her specialty. She makes most of her own paints from plants and minerals. All of her pottery is kiln fired. Noreen told us that she prefers the kiln over open fires because the higher temperatures make the colors more vivid.
