Gloria Kahe is a Navajo woman married
to Samuel Kahe, a Hopi from Polacca, the lower village at First
Mesa. She was taught by her mother-in-law, Marcella Kahe, one
of the respected master potters at Hopi. This saucer pot bears
the butterfly design because Gloria is a member of the Butterfly
Clan. Her cross cultural influences and fine workmanship cause
her pottery to be in demand.
